Ahhh. Sri Racha sauce. I should have put 2 and 2 together with the rooster on the label. Love it. In fact, Sri Racha chili-garlic sauce is one of the essential ingredients of laab gai (because, really, can you ever have too many chilies in a recipe?)

I've been to both (on your recommendation) and have had great meals at both without fail. I'll have to try the Mee Gorang. Haven't had that yet. Rooster sauce? Sounds intriguing....

Have you been to Ronin or Satay2Go? Satay2Go has some excellent homemade chili sauce that rules and Ronin has habanero oil that's fantastic as well.

Get the Mee Gorang (hot as Bill likes it) at Satay2Go and Drunken Noodles at Ronin and make sure you ask for the hab oil and the Rooster Sauce ;)

I'll be curious to read what you think of it, once you talk Kim into going. I hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those great places everyone has built up for you, then disappoints in the end. Don't think it will, though. I haven't had a bad meal there yet and I eat there often. They know spicy food, and that's the way I like it.

No, not yet but I have had it recommended to me. Unfortunately there are many other restaurants on the list that we will be going to first. My wife isn't a huge Thai fan thus my ability to get out to eat at those places are limited :(
