That took a lot of gall…

Art continues to recover from gallbladder removal surgery. It wasn’t so bad, comparatively speaking. Certainly, the pain was not as bad as one of the gallbladder attacks before the surgery, which felt like a heart attack and left him doubled over in agony. The worst part: Art was fighting off a cold after surgery and was coughing and sneezing, which really hurt around his incisions. The picture above is what the incisions looked like a couple of days after surgery — four cuts, including one in his belly button.
Art maintained his characteristic smart-aleckness when he was wheeled into the operating room. Before they put him under, they asked his name, birth date and what procedure they were doing (They didn’t KNOW?) Art answered: “Art Coulson. 1/14/61. Hysterectomy.” You should have seen the look on their faces.
